Earth Day!

It's Earth Day, yo.

We did alright with our Earth Day resolution this year, which was to buy local more often. I made it to the farmer's market pretty regularly, reduced the amount of non-local stuff from the grocery store (no more South African or New Zealand apples for us, although bananas still make an appearance), and have signed up for a CSA (organic, even!).

I'm planning on putting in a small vegetable and herb garden this year, too, so we've been mucking around out back, identifying the various soil dwellers and pulling up roots. (Yay for gardens! You should plant one, too.) Maybe that will be a big enough project to qualify as this year's Earth Day resolution. We'll see. I'm definitely open to suggestions.
