Today I feel the need just to stop for just five minutes and listen, see, feel this life that is going on around me and in me...
To be thankful for the evidence of playfulness in the Lego and markers and books scattered across the floor.
To drink in the way Malcolm's eyes crinkle when he tells a real knee slapper.
To feel my heart beating out the rhythm of life, to listen to my own breath.
To listen for divine whispers in the mundane, in the quiet, in questions, in conversation, in the red letters.
To count how many more "sun kisses" are sprinkled across Maren's nose and cheeks.
To remember that seasons come and go, and no spring has ever missed its turn.
To be thankful for the holiness here in this house, in each moment.
May you celebrate life and Life this weekend!
