One of our family traditions in December is to spend time each night of Advent making ornaments and doing a family devotion related to the Jesse Tree.
From last night's devotion...
Mel: Do you think it was easy or hard for Joseph to be kind to his brothers?
Maren: Hard!
Malcolm: Easy!
Mitch: Really? After L. wrestled you today, did you feel like being nice to him?
Malcolm: Hmmmm... no, I didn't want to share a toy with him or anything.
Mel: Sometimes it's hard to want to share when someone has been unkind to us. It was hard for Joseph to do that, but he chose to be kind to his brothers even though they had been very mean to him.
Malcolm: And I shouldn't share a toy with a frog, because he might just hop away from it anyway.
