Leaving the Nest

Intentionally wearing shirts inside out with the tag in front is stylish, right? Or at least some important developmental milestone?

Malcolm's preschool orientation is this afternoon. He is so excited! It was very hard for him to wait while Maren was doing all the get-ready-for-school things this week: a problem easily solved, though. He got his school clothes out on Monday night, too, and packed his backpack with supplies.

It will be interesting to see how the social aspect of preschool goes. Malcolm tends to be an observer and hang back until he feels comfortable, but also is stubborn and a little bit sneaky about doing things his own way. Oh boy. Good thing he's got an experienced teacher! (^_^)
