No News Isn't Good News

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. (Philippians 4:8)

I don't know about you, but sometimes the weight of the top news stories is too much to handle. I end up feeling overwhelmed and paralyzed by my inability to respond to tidal wave of human tragedy.

I have stuggled because although I don't want to ignore what's happening in the rest of the world, I find I need to step away from the news every now and then to get perspective. As I've pulled back over the last few weeks, I've discovered a few helpful websites: Good News Blog and Good News Network. It has been such a relief to read about some of the positive things that are happening in the world. I hope that adding some good news will help balance out my "information diet" as I slowly return to the CBC headlines.

Check out those good news sites. You'll be glad you did!

Cheked out the good news site, IT'S GREAT. My sister and I recently spoke about the need for us to also tune out of the news, it is just too depressing. Thanks for the tip.

Mel, here's the link to a local (Sackville I think) good news site. I know about them because they did a piece on Headstart.

Enjoy!
