If April Showers Bring May Flowers, What Do Snowstorms Bring?

I don't know what Easter morning was like where you live, but this was the view out our front window when we got up... and it kept snowing well into the afternoon! For the first time anyone I spoke to can remember, Easter services were cancelled.

We were disappointed, but ended up having a good morning together at home. We hid the eggs for the kids to find, and then they hid them for us. They found really tricky spots! Maren forgot where she hid the last one, but we managed to find it. Thankfully.

I know you're all waiting with bated breath for the results of the egg bunting tournament. It was very dramatic, folks. I picked a good egg that made it all the way to the finish uncracked... BUT WAIT! An egg that had been eliminated earlier was discovered to have one uncracked end! Maren challenged...

... and emerged victorious! She was pret-ty proud of herself, let me tell you!

Before we headed out to visit with the family, we made some cute little treats to share. As we made them, we chatted about the Easter story and why we think eggs might be associated with Easter. And then we ate them. Yum!

Hope that you were able to celebrate Easter in a meaningful way, wherever you are, and be renewed by the hope and promise of the holiday.
