Coping Strategies

"Would you like me to read you a story, Malcolm?"
"Oh, yeah! It could be Peter and the Wolf!"
"Okay. Can you find it?"
"Yep. And if I get scared of the wolf I can just sing 'Nothing can go wrong-go, I'm in the Cong-go' in my head."

Hey Mitch and Mel!!!!

Amanda Christie here. I just found you. I found Kim, when my MSN finally started working again, and then through her I found Janice's blog, and through that I found you! Hooray! Such beautiful children!

On the storybook front.... when my brother was little, and mom would read to him from peter and the wolf, or the three pigs, or brer rabit, or any other story with a wolf in it... sometimes, when she was tired, she would skip pages discreetly to make the story go faster.... but little did she know (until he was in his 20s and told us at supper one night)... that he had the stories memorized, and would notice that "hey... the wolf was in the story last night... but he's not there tonight... there's only one possible explanation! he's escaped from the book, and therefore hiding somewhere in my room!" and then he'd be too afraid to fall asleep for the rest of the night, knowing that the wolf was hiding somehwere in his room since he wasn't in the book.

Amanda! How lovely!

Yikes on Sandy's wolf-story fears... we'll be sure not to skip any parts.

How are you??? I've often wondered how things are going for you and how the film project went. Can I email you?
