Maren has been initiated into the secret society of kindergarteners. I think we both did pretty well! No tears on either side (does that make me a good mom or a bad mom?). Here are her thoughts on the experience:What was your favourite thing that happened today?
Playing with the new yellow playdough we made.
What other things did you do today?
I played with Lego at the start. I was trying to build two things: a bridge with a cat on top and a stage for a person to do shows if they want to. I found some Duplo in the Lego box.
Who did you meet today?
Allison: I made friends with her and she made friends with me. That's her in the picture next to me. And Jacob: he is a big guy, a very big boy. I think he's about the same size as Andrew.
What is your kindergarten teacher's name?
Mr. Buechler.
What do you think about Mr. Buechler?
I think he is very nice.
What are you looking forward to the most about your next day of kindergarten?
Seeing Aidan!
What do you think will be the hardest thing to get used to at school?
Saying "Mr. Buechler," because sometimes even though I know how to say it, I still forget and say it like "Mr. Buech-luck" or something.

Maren, it's so exciting to hear about your first day of kindergarten! How fun! I hope you enjoy the rest of your week with your new friends, your teacher (I think I'd forget how to say his name too!) and Aidan!
