Debutante's Production Well Received

Maren and Malcolm's performances garnered critical acclaim on the opening night of their puppet show, "Hat Trick and Sally." An all-star, multi-species cast of colourful puppet characters presented vignettes at times poignant, at times joyful.

Especially noteworthy was the unique puppet stage, constructed from found materials and decorated with the rules of the theatre: No Fighting and No Hitting. Ms. Mealey has a promising career ahead as the wunderkind of Canadian puppet theatre, having developed considerable skill not only as a voice actor, but also as a director, stage manager, producer, and costume and set designer.
