Tastes Like Chicken?

I love field trips! Maren's preschool class was visiting a farm yesterday, and Malcolm and I tagged along. They had a wide variety of many animals -- alongside the horses, goats, and chickens, there were Canadian geese, peacocks, donkeys, what appeared to be warthogs, ducks that looked as though they were wearing powder wigs, and this curiosity. After a little internet research of the part of yours truly, I am able to inform you that this bird is a golden pheasant and is native to China. Wacky. Reminds me of King Tut.

Malcolm enjoyed the farm, although he was very concerned that the animals all wanted to eat him. Maren loved it -- although she kept a respectful distance. A more popular field trip than the visit to the Sugar Bush, which was declared "The most boring day ever!"

P.S. Maren continues to ask God to help her wait for her birthday....
