From the Vault, Part 2

Also from 2003, Maren was just a little over two years old in this photo. I love her funny expression -- it communicates so much of her character! I can hear the laugh that goes with the face every time I look at this picture.

I am so glad that we bought a digital camera when we did. Especially when kids are little, it is hard to get them to sit still for a picture -- and if you do, you'll probably get a fake smile. The digital camera (along with a big memory card) lets me go snap happy without the cost of wasting film, and I usually get a couple of keepers that I never would have caught otherwise. Hooray for digital!

It's definitely time for an upgrade, but I think it will be a few years before we can do that. I'd love to get a digital SLR (those are the ones with the long lens on the front that you fiddle around with), but I know a family who has both a point-and-shoot and a professional SLR. He says they hardly use the pro camera because it's bulky to carry around. Or maybe we'll just get a selection of cameras to have at our personal disposal. (Ha!)

Or, you could become wildly famous, and the paparazzi could take all your pictures for you!
