Going, Going...

This tooth is so past its time. She taps at it, wiggles and pushes, but can't work up the bravery to pull it hard. I can empathize... in the first grade I went to bed with a tooth literally hanging by a thread, determined that giving it a good yank would be much worse than the chance of swallowing my tooth in the middle of the night. I woke up in the morning with it safely tucked away in my cheek.

Hope Maren doesn't swallow hers tonight. I'm not sure what the tooth fairy does about that situation.

Kaitlyn swallowed her very first loose tooth at night. We had made a little Toothfairy Gazebo to put beside her bed, so K. wrote a letter to the toothfairy to explain what happened. In the morning, there was a coin and a letter back, telling her it's OK - it happens alot.

Hehe...Haley sorta had that happen in grade 2 .....her tooth was hanging by a thread and she was eating popcrn. When she turned to say something to her friend sitting beside her, the friend asked what happened to her tooth??

Haley realized she must have swallowed it thinking it was a kernal ( cause she eats them too!). So she very sadly went to her teacher. Her teacher had her write a letter to the toothfairy explaining the, now funny, situation. She wrote a lovely letter indicating it was "accidentally" swallowed and it looked like 'this' >> insert drawing of a white tooth!
