So, wanna hear about my favourite Christmas gift this year?
On December 23rd, Maren decided to make all sorts of paper crafts for everyone she would be spending time with during the holidays. There were cards and coat-of-arms and mailboxes and paper canoes and bags... quite an impressive array of creatively unique gifts, really.
When it came to Christmas morning, she couldn't find what she had created for Mitch, but decided, "It's okay, because I have another gift I can give to both of you." During a quiet moment in the gift-opening, she stood before us and asked if we were ready for our gift. When we said yes, she ran at us with wide open arms and exclaimed, "It's love!"
That hug lasted a long time.

That is the most beautiful gift I have ever heard of. What else can one say!
I have read that story five times now over the course of a few months. It makes me cry everytime.
