Happy New Year, everyone! I hope your holidays were peaceful and joyful. Although there were a few sad days, we had a really good holiday season together. 
Highlights included Christmas day (of course), a roadtrip to visit my family in Cape Breton (including new little Rory), an awesome New Year's Eve party with the kids until Moscow midnight (8:00pm in our time zone), and free tickets to see Matt Mays & El Torpedo.Today is the first day back at school for Maren. Well, it should be--instead, it's a snow day! I think perhaps someone has been spoiled by the spring weather we've had lately. I'm not sure a school cancellation is warranted for 5-10 cm of snow (seems a little Toronto to me), but I'm happy to have another day at home to enjoy together. Maybe this means we'll finally get enough snow for building another snow sculpture!

YEAH YOU'RE BACK!!!! It's disgusting how many times I've checked this thing to see when you were going to write again. Thanks for keeping my life interesting :) Glad to hear that you had a wonderful holiday!
