The Compound

The weather was perfect last weekend for camping in Fundy, and that's exactly what we did. The trip was preceded by a tent-shopping trip that turned into a panic-ridden tent search that lasted 2 1/2 hours. Nearly every store in Moncton had sold out of family-size tents!

Eventually we found an eight person, three room dome tent Mitch likes to call "The Compound." It is gigantic and comfortable and all that, but the best feature (in my opinion) is that if you leave the rain fly off, the mesh roof in each of the "bedrooms" gives a spectacular view of the night sky. Maren was astounded by the number of stars visible. Mmmmm ... camping.

This is my jealous face :&
I'm planning to go camping at the end of this month, but I know it's just not going to be like Fundy.

I've never seen a jealous face. It's a little menacing.

At least you won't have to check each other for ticks.

I hope you haven't told Mama Hillmer... her overenthusiastic synaptic worrying pulses will fire all at once and her brain could explode.
